business angel summer-event in Austria
ANGELGATE, Mountain Partners’ private club for Business Angels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, held their latest MeetUp in June in Kitzbühel, Austria. Besides the deal-making, the club members enjoyed high-profile networking and got the unique opportunity to test Waterwolf’s surfboard on Lake Schwarzsee.
One of the highlights of the summer MeetUp in Kitzbühel were the startup company pitches. Club members, including experienced investors and entrepreneurs from a range of industries, gathered to listen to and review company presentations from four carefully chosen start-ups. The presenting companies, InfluencerDB, Teraki, Netinsurer and Volders all held great pitches and generated a lot of interest from their audience.
Besides the deal-making, the club members enjoyed high-profile networking and got the unique opportunity to test Waterwolf’s surfboard. Waterwolf, a German start-up, has developed a surf board equipped with a small, remote controlled, electric motor, which allows the rider to surf on lakes, rivers or other bodies of water without wind or waves. Guido Hüsgen, the well-known German sports reporter provided commentary, as club members climbed on the boards and tested them on the Schwarzsee. The partly bad weather did not prevent the participants from climbing the boards and surfing on Lake Schwarzsee.
ANGELGATE selects unique investment opportunities in promising start-ups from and for their members. The club accompanies its members with in-depth, industry-spanning expertise and experienced team management, which covers every single investment step. Because of the wide-ranging know-how of members, unique synergies are developed within the network and opportunities can be identified that may have remained invisible to an individual investor.
The next ANGELGATE MeetUP will take place on October 18th to 20th in Munich, Germany. At this year’s autumn event, members can look forward to high-profile networking, company presentations as well as exciting sport and cultural activities at the Jochen-Schweizer-Arena.
